Lama Lena (Yeseh Katyup) is a teacher of Direct Mind Perception and a lineage holder of several Tibetan Buddhist traditions.
Her informal style is precise, direct and she is revered by students around the world for her exceptional ability to share profound teaching in a clear, poetic and humorous way.
Beginning in 1972, Lama Lena spent three years studying with Lama Thubten Yeshe in Nepal. She then spent seven years in a small cave practice retreat above Tso Pema under the tutelage of her root teacher, Venerable Wangdor Rimpoche. She travelled extensively with him for many years as his translator and assistant.
At the request of H.E. Zigar Choktrul Rimpoche and Ven. Wangdor Rimpoche, as well as many Tibetan and Western Dharma students, she continues to travel and teach from the lineages she holds.
With the death of her beloved teacher in September of 2019, Lama Lena will continue to travel the world, in her great compassion, sharing the blessings of lineage and the precious liberation teachings she has received.
The three words of Garab Dorje was the root teachings of all that Wangdor Rinpoche taught. The Hermitage is very grateful that she has included our centre in her 2020 teaching schedule.
