Anapanasati Sutta Seminar

January 11 - March 01

6pm Tuesday Evenings $80.00

The Pali word for meditation on the breath is anapanasati, literally: mindfulness of breathing in and breathing out. This meditation is both one of the simplest meditation practices and one of the most demanding. Although meditation on the breath seems like it should be pretty easy, continued observation of breathing is very subtle and requires active attention. In this eight-week seminar series we will study the Anapanasati Sutta in detail. In addition to study of the text, the course will include an introduction to breathing meditation.
